For Corporate Development Executives
How Do I Hire The Perfect Expert?
- Establish the date, location and budget of your training. These factors will play an important role in determining the pool of experts available to you. Your date, for example, will affect which experts are available, whereas your budget will limit whom you can and can't afford to hire. In order to save on the cost of the expert's travel, you may want to consider the distance between where he or she resides and where your event will take place.
- Determine the length of the program you want and the time of day when it will take place. Almost all of our experts can deliver their programs in half, full-day, two-day and multiple-day formats. Ask your Bigspeak Beyond consultant what they suggest for your team.
- Clarify why you want to hire an expert. Some common reasons include the desire to:
- Educate
- Shift behavior
- Initiate a change effort
- Motivate
- Consider which experts have been successful in the past with your group or a group similar to yours.
- Call your friends and associates. Asking for references can be a great way to narrow down your search. BigSpeak Beyond can locate and secure almost any expert for you, whether they appear on our roster or not.
- Establish who the core decision makers are regarding your organization’s development and tap into their vision.
- Consider the demographics of your audience. Do you need an expert who will appeal to a general audience or one who will interest a specific demographic? Will your expert address your entire staff or just your executive team?
